No tractor tires for it yet haha. Sorry it's been so long for an update. I threw my back out pretty bad so I've been kinda laid up and working around it. Mostly tinkering with little things. I did run my valve cover exhaust over board( I kept getting oil in the air cleaner) not sure if I need vacuum to make it work so we'll see once I start driving it in the spring.
I also got my new heatercore in. Really a pain hunched over and twisted up under the dash but I got it done even with a bad back just took forever I also had to kick out the riff raff!
Ok I've got a question for all you guys who have done the 3G swap- I am currently making 14.8 volts with my new alternator with no lights on and I'm wondering if that is going to ruin my battery? I've only put maybe 400 miles on it since the 3G swap and everything still seems fine. 14.8 just seems like to much to be dumping into a 12 v battery.
14.5 i perfect 14.8 no massive worry. Go past 15.15.2 then start worrying. My highboy two weeks after i bought it got home one night. Heard the battery sizzling after turning the truck off. Checked mine it was full yield 61 amp alternator regulator stuck. steady at 16.3volts......

Sorry everyone I've been pretty busy. I spent all winter getting my fire 1 and 2 certs and also my emt license. I recently switched jobs and now am a full time firefighter. I'm still learning a lot but once I get more settled in I should have more time to work on the truck. It's been a lot of work to get to this point but I'm loving my new job!
I don't have any big updates on the truck just been driving it as much as I can and adding things to the list of projects it needs/wants. Still runs and drives like a dream. It drives better than my daily driver now.
Congrats on the certs buddy. I know that is a lot of hard work. Fire fighting is not for the meek, you will hate the job at times but will find it rewarding!
Quick question for you guys. My transfer case is leaking pretty bad as of late and I've got a couple options. Buy the rebuild kit or buy a used transfer case. I'm contemplating the NP 205 upgrade and am wondering if it is a direct bolt up. Would i need to change drive shafts or change mounts? I'm curious how easy of a swap this is and what I would gain from the swap. How much work is it to actually rebuild a transfer case?

Dana 24 is just like a dana 20 5 hours for me just a rebuild for a detail deal of course longer. They are not bad rebuild kits at Less than $200. Get one from broncograveyard, and new mounts you'll be set. If your keeping the six then you should never hurt a 24. A 205 will go in without major headache but i don't know if you fully need it. You have multiple options as always.
