Awesome! Glad to see it painted and on the road again- thought you started one of your other fords. Looks fantastic. It's cool to say you did it yourself!

Thank you! Sadly I had to park her last week for winter and I'm already going through withdrawals!Manny wrote:MAN ALIVE!!!!! You been holding out on us!! That thing looks fantastic all that sanding was definitely worth it. Looks clean and straight id drive it everywhere and be proud of it congratulations!
Thanks! I still need to get tires for it, and it didn't pay to put them on if it's going to sit over winter anyway. Currently I'm running 265/75 r16, Goodyear wranglers in the back, and BFG long trails up front. I'd like to go with aluminum slots in the future, and some BFG All terrains in that size.cdnwillyg wrote:Truck turned out great Ray! Looks awesome!
What type and size of tire did you go with in the end?
Thank you!popeyes71 wrote:Wow she looks great and has really come along way! You have every reason to be proud of all your hard work! Another Bump saved!

Thank you!
It was awesome to daily drive it for a few months. So far no incidents with the paint...daveford72 wrote:Looks great!! Feels good to be painted and driving it don't it? Like the way that grille is done. Looks like a ranger grille. NOW don't damage that new paint
Thanks!vicp21 wrote:That looks great, better than new!

Well, I did start on another Ford, my once camo 79 bronco to be exact! That one is going to be painted next weekend, if all goes well and I can't wait to drive it again. Right now I'm driving a 99 Ranger, and am dying to switch back to a fullsize.Lone Ranger wrote:Awesome! Glad to see it painted and on the road again- thought you started one of your other fords. I'll try to update both when I get the time. I planned on a blue and white two tone, but it looks like I'm just going blue due to time constrictions.hfdco4 wrote:Make sure you show us some pictures of the Bronco prep and painting process.

78-79 bronco look best two tone but it is a nightmare of prep paint and trim work....

Re: 1968 F250 Project
It's been a while since I posted anything about the F250, and I think I'm a little overdue for an update. The truck has been a joy to drive, and I'm currently really missing it since it's tucked away for winter. The truck has gone through a few changes over the last few months, as I decided to bring it back to its roots. Some of you may remember that this truck was my great grandpa's farm truck that he bought new. I decided to go back to the white painted grille, bumper, and recently painted the rims to match and put on a new set of LT 235/85/16 tires. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking!
The long wait until spring is really driving me crazy! I'm so happy with how the truck looks and performs. The next thing I need to address is an exhaust leak, which I believe the passenger side exhaust manifold gasket to be the culprit.

I do have a step bumper to put on it, but it's currently on my '70 F100, so i might swap bumpers since the F100 has a chrome front bumper.DuckRyder wrote:Wow, that looks Great!

Cab lights look good yeah? I’ve always thought about putting some on mine, but never followed through. They were a dealer installed thing, right?
Between this and your Bronco, I think I know which one will be more fun to drive.

Thanks man!lennyp wrote:Truck looks awesome.
Almost all of my trucks have cab lights, I just think they really make it a truck. I do believe they were a dealer option and I got these from a 78 f150 that was sitting in a junkyard. They are "Yankee 77" cab lights. Man, it's a tough call between the 68 and the Bronc! Nothing beats cruising around with the top off in summer, but I like the feel of the f250 a little more. It's kind of hard to describe ya know?jzjames wrote:Cab lights look good yeah? I’ve always thought about putting some on mine, but never followed through. They were a dealer installed thing, right?

Here's a few pics of the Bronco. (the camo is how it looked when I first got it)
The last pic shows the rear bumper/spare tire carrier I made for it a while back
