UPDATE: 7/28/08 New 33x12.50's and shiny slots! I put a spit shine on the ol' slots and installed my new tires. With 55lbs of air in the fronts, it actually steers pretty easy  but I'm still looking for a factory style power assist setup to swap into it. I got a steal on thses tires on good ol' craigslist. They've got about 100 miles on them, and I got them for $400. They're $1100 new!

Well, I suppose it's time for an update! In the last two months I have installed power steering and headers with 2.25" duals, an h pipe, and a set of spintech pro street mufflers with 3.5" tips, along with a pertronix unit and flamethrower coil. BUT, the big news is that I finally seriously started on the body yesterday! Here are some pics!
Image
I was a little pissed because my studs kept busting off while trying to pull this dent. I'm gonna pull the tank and work it the rest of the way from the inside.
Image
Finally got the hood stripped after 4 hours of work!
Image
I've been praticing the "roll on rustoleum" method and I think I've got it down pat.
Image
It's gonna be a big project...

Ok, well after three coats of white on the hood I've made an executive decision. I've decided that I'm going for another look, and I'm thinking rolled on rustoleum in flat black and plenty of polished peices to stand out from the flat paint (trim, emblems, etc) for a tough look with some bling! 8)

Well, the hood's done! If the rest of it turns out this good I'll be very happy. For anyone thinking of rolling on satin black rustoleum, take my advice and spray it. I tried to roll it and every time I ended up with very apparent lines in it. For some reason the satin black, even thinned way down, always dries with the last roller lines showing. I bought a $45 spray gun from the home depot and sprayed it thinned down about the same as the roller treatment and it turned out great. Monday I'm going to pull the grill, valances, and fenders so I can paint them (not the grill) and the core support. Also got new hood letters coming. Check it out!

thats really good looking. i like!

i have my '76 supercab dent, and both of my business partners have mid-90's F-150s. all of our trucks need bodywork (rust, a few dents, etc), so i think we're going to be fixing the bodies and doing Rustolium Flat Black on all three. the combination of quality, price and ease of maintenance make low-sheen black paints a very pleasing option.

cant wait to see the rest of you truck once its completed.

oh, before i forget, how much are you thinning that paint down?
