My truck is gasser but listening to you makes me miss driving my truck and when I get home I have to take it back down to the frame to finish what I started. But Your build is still pretty inspirational, attleast to me. Glad you are getting to enjoy it.

I love the whole concept! Did you use the radius arms on the front end i did'nt see them in the pictures?
What did you do about the antilock brake situation? I came across a 03 CV suspension this weekend and scored it for $175.

Hi everyone good to be back, sorry for not updating this thread for a while. I will be updating it regularly from now on. I never used the crown vic antilock setup I just used a 2003 chevy express van master cylinder and hydroboost along with a wilwood proportioning valve along with the 2007 CV front brakes and 93 CV rear axle and brakes. Everything works great and there have been no problems with 2800 miles on the truck since the conversion. I even took this truck on a 1500 mile trip to south texas and back with absolutely no problems at all.
I have been busy working on the performance of the truck for the past couple of weeks. I have many new things to install and have made some decisions on where I want to go with the build. I will be building a triangulated 4 link for the rear axle along with running air bags on all 4 corners for a much smoother ride and I will be notching the rear frame to better clear the rear axle. I am also installin a 22 gallon 1970 mustang fuel tank for an estimated 700+ miles range on one fillup . I have also been working on my compound turbos setup and am almost done. I am running an HY35 and HX52 for turbos along with a jgs 40mm wastegate. I built the piping from mandrel bent 3.5" pipe and and custom cut flanges. I also made my own custom header with a custom flange I had made at a local fab shop from 1/2" plate cut on a large plasma cutter I used 1.5" schedule 40 (1.625 ID) weld els to make all the bends, I welded them together and ground all the welds smooth with a 120 grit flapper wheel on my 4.5" grinder. I have decided to sell the 700R4 auto trans and swap in a 2007 allison 6spd auto trans for the strength and double overdrive to better handle the steeper rear gears I want to run and the added power from the compound turbos. I just need to get rid of the 700R4 so I can buy the conversion electronics for the allison. Anyway I am sure I am missing some things but here are some pics so you can see what I have been up to.

I need to lower the rear of the truck so it sits level but I am not that worried about it right now since I will be swaping out the springs in favor of a 4 link pretty soon anyway. I also bought another 67 F100 short bed for the bed and drivers side fender. I will probably be parting it out in a month or so with a short bed in good shape along with the a/c and other things.

Here's a nice explanation of the turbo set up I got from carcrafter22 on another forum. Maybe some other "turbo illiterates" among us can learn as I did.
"Thanks and yes thats the idea. This is actually called a compound turbo setup. The exhaust spools the big (low pressure) and small (high pressure)turbos forcing the small one to push air into the engine just off idle with a little more throttle the big one spools up forcing more air into the little turbo and then into the engine. The best part of a compound setup on a diesel is that you have very low exhaust temps, awsome power (the 6 cylinder cummins guys make over 1500hp with compound turbos), and still get excellent mpg's. The compounds also give more power over a wider rpm band than a single turbo will because you have the small turbo for quick spoolup and just off idle power and then the big turbo for more mid and high rpm power with tons of air flow. The turbos I have selected both have very good power potential and small exhaust housings for very fast spoolup. The hx52 alone will support around 800hp with enough fuel on a cummins 6bt."

Well I am out of town again but will be home soon. I took some progress pics just before I left. I should have the header back from the machinist with smooth flanges so I can send it all out to get ceramic coated. I got the turbo blankets in a few days before I left but I forgot to get pics, they do look very nice though and well worth the money we will just have to see how they perform. Anyway here are a few pics of the progress so far, I still have a few braided lines to finish making, coat everything, weld the factory hy35 wastegate etc. small things but important none the less.
Yes I know everything looks very clutered and messy right now but I will clean it up a little when I do the final install so it all looks professional.
