Well, it isint a Dodge engine, it's a Cummins engine  The 4BT is Cummins' 4 cylinder variant of the famous Cummins B series found in Dodge trucks & other various trucks/equipment. They have great power & get awsome mileage. Dustin has one in a Ford Excursion & reported 28 mpg :D What I wouldnt give. My 360 Dodge couldnt get 28 mpg down hill with the engine off.

how do you like the 300/4spd combo?
I like it for the city. But mine has regular tires and a 4:10 rear.
So I get off lights fast. And loads of torque. Would probably yank
a tree down in 1st granny gear. Reverse is even more low geared
than 1st..
Yep, it revs fairly high on the highway, but it doesn't seem to
bother it. I can still go 65-70 no problem, and it will do it all
day long. I seem to get about 16 mpg at highway speeds.

But as far as daily driver it just depends what I need at the time.
I could drive the truck every day if I wanted, and I used to back
when I first started driving it. But with gas going through the
roof, I started keeping a little car to save gas when I didn't need
a truck.
So for the most part, I use the truck mainly for work, and
drive the car the rest of the time.
It gets over 40 mpg on the highway. 43 when I'm doing 65 at night,
which is the I-45 limit in Tejas when it's dark.
Saves me a bundle on fuel, and to tell the truth I do get a bit
spoiled on A/C, good sounds, etc.. :/
My truck drives like a truck. No A/C, and with the windows down
on the road, you can hardly hear the stereo unless it's at ear bleed
levels.
I usually take the car when I go to Oklahoma even though the camper
on the truck would be handy.. Save a bundle on gas, and I'm much
less fatigued after doing the 900 mile round trip.
Better seats, quiet, A/C, cruise control... And 22 gallons for the
whole trip.. Spoils me.. :dk: The truck would want at least 56-57
gallons, and that's at 16 mpg..

I'll be in one of these.. And I still have the 74 F-100, but it's stored
away in the garage now..
The car is at about 58.5 k miles right now.. Just bought the
2nd set of tires for it the other day. Went with the identical OEM
Goodyear's again as I got a real good price, and like the low rolling
resistance. I plan to shoot up to OK again in the next couple of weeks
or so.. Wanted some fresh skins.. The old ones were getting a bit
thin and slippery in the rain.

My old DD was an '89 Supra. I got tired of changing head gaskets with the 7m turbo..... and still looked like crap cause I never got around to painting it and it was kind of a rust bucket.

Looks fine to me.. At first glance I thought it might have been a VW with a body on it..
But looking closer, I'm thinking, naaaawww, ain't no way that is a VW.. :hmm:  :hmm:
It's changed enough, it's hard to tell what in the heck it started out as..
Maybe the Chevy, like one thought.. I thought about maybe a PT cruiser, but I
don't know if that would work.. Doesn't really look like a PT..
I don't see any problem with the color.. On a car like that, it kind of fits I think.
I kind of like the metal flake myself..

I really like the flake to be honest. But I catch a lot of junk from my friends, saying it looks like a bass boat lol.
Ill post more pics that I was holding out on because one looks the most like the original car.

I will also tell you this, there is no other car that looks like this one. Its not a "kit". I completely hand crafted the everything except the door skins from $117.62 of sheet medal. (Im a bodyman & painter lol)

Dodge Viper maybe? Mazda Miata? You've definitely got me . But the door skins look like the ones on a M5-Miata as does the interior to an extent as well as the placement of the fuel door :hmm:.

I'm still scratching my head.. If the roll bars are factory, I would be thinking it was some kind
of roadster. And I was thinking Miata, but looking at a Miata, the side mirrors aren't right..
And those appear to probably be the original mirrors and windshield, etc..
I'm just not up well enough on the various new cars/roadsters to pick it out.
I checked the SSR, and nope, it doesn't seem to match either.
Beats the heck out of me.. Good body work. Almost looks like a factory built car from
the fit and finish. I like that little lip on the trunk lid.
