Yes, with a 4" foam roller. First I thin the paint with mineral spirits, about 50/50 or alittle more, then roll it on. It works pretty good on smaller pieces like the fenders and things, but I noticed on larger items like the hood the paint starts to thicken up before I can get both coats rolled out. A helper would come in handy to mix up more paint so I could keep rolling without stopping, but helpers around here get bored pretty fast.

I just got done rolling on another 2 coats on the hood. I added alittle more mineral spirits between coats this time and no orange peel, came out real smooth. I could probably get away without another coat but I want to get more paint on the hood and cab roof as these places seem to fade more. Then all thats left is the doors, box, and cab. :D The box should go pretty fast as it was painted green last year and just needs sanded and rolled. The doors will be taken apart before painting to make it go easier and I also got new parts to put on. On the cab I'm going to remove the rear window and windshield and door seals before I start painting, then I'll paint the door jams and upto window lip.

A little update sense I can't do any painting because of the weather. :x It's raining and 35 degrees today. I probably should have left the hood alone, I decided to put one more coat on and of course it came out with orange peel AND a major bug issue. So I'll be wet sanding and doing another layer. Got the trailer with the box over to the house to start sanding and painting (when it stops raining). The box should be a fairly easy job, just rough up the green paint from last year and roll on the red. I might have to do an extra layer or two if the red doesn't cover the green well enough, then I can start on the cab. Good thing I don't have to charge myself for labor!

Finally got the hood finished this morning! :woohoo: I rolled on another coat of paint the other day after wet sanding. It came out pretty crappy, roller marks, orange peel, and just as I got finished and stepped back to look at it, the light breeze that was blowing stopped and immediately the gnats and dog hair settled on to the wet paint!  So, I let it dry two days and wet sanded again, let dry again. Then early this morning I went out and buffed with polishing compound and I Finally got a finish I think I can live with! :woohoo: Here's some pics.

Got some work done today. I put on the hood, front fenders, and lower valance. I still have to finish the doors, cab, and box. Got a week off coming up soon and I'm hoping to get more painting done then. Here's some pics.

I got alittle more work done today, I got the box off the pickup. :D I was worried the box would be to heavy and awkward for me and my helpers to move around safely but was suprised how easy it went. I thought it would weigh alot more. 4 of us lifted and carried it with no problem. I did find some rust I'll have to take care of before rolling on the paint but I think I can apply alittle "western ingenuity" and cover it up enough to last as long as me or the pickup lasts. Heres the pics.

What all did you have to do to get it removed?
