You can replace craftsman tools with Kobalt at Lowe's. They will replace all your broken craftsman tools

Well I will say you can't beat a snap open end wrench esp w/ flank drive +,
now all the major brand tools are making sockets and box end wrenches w/ flank drive, you just have to consider what that nice chrome is worth to you.
If I were to flat rate, in the automotive service industry again I would only have snap on wrenches. I had a Mac open end spread on me round the nut and cost me 4 hours. I had several of those Mac wrenches warrantied 3 or 4 times b4 I traded them in on Snap ons. I have yet to warranty the snap on in 9 years. But for you pay for 1 set of 9-11 wrenches you can buy a whole set of craftsmen tools, wait till on sale :D I have allot of craftsmen and they work just fine for what I do at home, esp since the boy started helping, and tools are some how missing. :x my :2cents:

From Leadfoot,

"Snap-on is good but the don't cover wear on the sockets", Your tool dealer is cheating you. Snap on does to warranty warn out sockets. Call the Area rep and ask them.

69Ranger wrote:The breakable ones like the timing light and dvom were craftsman and they didn't do ANYTHING about it. They just told him that it was damaged by abuse and can't be replaced under waranty. That ticked him off and hasn't bought another thing from sears.
All the tool vendors only have a lifetime warranty, on hand tools, drill bits, taps dies, torque wrenches, air tools, all have limited warranty's. 1/4 drive bits (philips , torqs, etc) Snap-on is the only 1 w/ company policy to warranty. Apex won't and mac won't. not certain about matco.
Not picking on anyone just have seen the not warranty gripe in a number of post, if you look at the vendors catalog you'll see they only mean hand tools.
