Re: 1968 F350 Project
Truck is now Painted!!! I have a few quick photos. It kind of looks white in the photos but is is the factory Sky Blue view. Hope you all enjoy. It is not finished, needs cleaned, bed painted and frame and a few other odds and ends but I can not keep you all waiting any longer.

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
Well I have a small update. A local hard ware store was closing and happen to have a dump bed that followed me home. Across the road was a set of 1 piece wheels that followed me home as well. Bed is now mounted. No pretty painted frame yet or bed for that matter. But hopefully soon. I have been wanting to drive the truck some so now I can. Now I need to hunt down a pto and get the bed going up under its own power. New tires, and a bunch of little items. Anyway here is a new used and needing paint dump bed!

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
Not to much of an update. Last week I did manage to mount my dash pad. Which lead to the delay wiper switch (still need to fix the washers I think there is a wire to switch). So I mounted my front speakers( under the dash in the stock location) and deccided to run the wiring for the rear speakers. That lead me to building my speaker box. Thanks to Madbiker4 for the idea. I need to pickup some foam to put behind it and make /or buy l brakets to attach it to the tank. I coated the speaker box with spray on bed liner to kinf od rubberize it. Also I did manage to get the cd player wired in so now I have tunes! Hopefully this week I will take it to work some and get the lumber I am needing for my Grist Mill building. I also need to pull my pto cover and count the teeth on tranie side so I can order a pto and move forward with the bed. Guess that is it for the moment. Baby steps I guess.

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
I gave up and ordered a new pto from Chelsea yesterday. It is drop shipping and should be here in 2-3 weeks. Also I am working on switching the pump for the bed from the drivers side to the pass side( the side the pto is on). Hopefuly I can get the pto mounted and the shaft installed. Then cut the frame and move my tail lights, and put on mud flaps. My goal is to have the bed wroking under its own power early spring and go get some rock. I think our drive way is trying to float away. I did also manage to buy two new front tires and bumed some good used for the rear from my dad. I now have all one piece wheel and radial tires. It should be fun to drive now. Anyway I will try to attach a picture. Some how my to do list on the truck just seem to keep getting longer. Ha ha.

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
I finally got one piece wheels and radials all around on my F350 over the summer and it sure is a nicer drive! What did you do with the spit rims? I still have mine, but I'm thinking that I might scrap them. I can't imagine anybody ever wanting them.

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
I have not decided what I am doing with them yet. Dad has been toying with selling his truck and if he does they may go on it. If not they will likely lay around here for a while. haha I can put them with the one piece 16.5 wheel I purchased by mastake. I have been ordering some other goodies for the truck this week too. We will see what it looks like with more lights. Haha

Re: 1968 F350 Project Update with New Paint
Well fedex and ups have been a little busy. I recived my pto friday and started on it friday night. It got to dark so I finished it on saturday. The pto is installed, pump is switched, controls ran for the bed and pto, and the mounts for the controls made and installed. I snaped a couple pictures and thought I would post them up. Hopefully I can get the hoist control hooked up, pto shaft ran and the rear frame cut some time soon. Anyway here are a few shots of the pto and install.

One more for the road of it on the truck. It can be hard to hold and put bolts in haha. Cable is not hooked up in this picture or the wire for the pto light but they are there now.
