Im such a sucker for 66-67 fairlane's. I found a 390 67 fairlane chained to a redwood tree in the Santa Cruz moutains about 10 years ago. wish I still had it.....

Im glad you had passed on the T-rod. I dont know about the coupes or roadsters but most model T's Ive seen dont have a drivers door that open because of the park brake being on that side. you climbed in through the passenger door. That fairlane looked good but I think you made the right choice passing. you would have been out. But a nice Fairlane would be a worthy trade.

That Fairlane GT is sweet! I'm a fan of the T's too as a buddy of mine has a '26 that's not nearly as nice as the '27 pictured, but it too is far from "rat", and I've grown quite fond of them, but I've got to say that the Fairlane really rocks. I think it's too cool that you'll have a matched-set with the crew as well.

I've made a few deals in the past because I really wanted that particular car or truck. I've overpaid in some cases and made a uneven trade but again, it was because I wanted it and it is what I thought it was worth to me. Now, I'm a Pontiac fanatic so personally I would have had a hard time letting it go but I see where you were coming from. Good move to sell and then buy, that way you would have money to fix the things that needed to be fixed and fixed they way you would be comfortable with. We are just custodians of these things and my goal is to sample all the ones I've wanted to before it is my time.

Well, we verbally agreed on 18k for the car and I plan on going down next Friday to look at it one more time and then hand over the money. So as long as everything stays on track, there will be a green 67 Fairlane sitting in my driveway next Friday. For a little bit of time, it will be sitting right next to the Firebird as I still need to sell that car to pay back the money I am using for the Fairlane. But my house will look pretty damn cool for a little bit of time anyway.

Well done. I don't know if you know about performanceyears.com they are a big Pontiac community and have a message forum like this that has been around for a while. I've been a member on that site for a very long time. You should join up and post it there. It is a very nice looking car and I bet it would get good attention.

I was on Performance years a while ago when I was doing my restoration, but I spent most of my Pontiac time on FirstGenFirebird.org which was more dedicated to my car. But thanks for reminding my of PY... I will log in and post the car up there. Maybe someone will be interested.
