Around here that would actually be a decent gig, since there are still a lot of these old Ford in the yards....though purchasing the parts would probably be a better idea. ;) The last time I was at the U-Pull-It here, I found three dentside Fords with tilt columns. I'd have paid $20 for each of them there and could've sold them online for 10 times that. As a matter of fact, I'm going to try that for a while starting next summer and see how it pans out. I'm thinking that I could easily make more in a week doing that than I could in a month at my day job...and have a lot more fun! :D
There is somebody already doing that around Charlotte. I don't know where they are selling it but at the pull a part here if an F100 comes in the west cost Jr mirrors, bumper brackets, good steering wheels, door panels and anything else good is gone in a day or two. They also grab the tilt wheels and intermittent wipers off the dents

I work part time as a stage hand at a local Arena. We do Hockey b-ball concerts. Working one tomorrow Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Featuring: Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold with Stone Sour, Halestorm, HELLYEAH Airbourne, Hail the Villain and New Medicine. I think Carri Underwood is next week. It all pays really well for a part time.

Install mobile sound, install professional and commercial audio and video systems, and mow lawns. Also occassionally do some minor vehicle repair for family. Have done some construction work in the past with my step dad as well.

Good topic. I have gotten some ideas from the responses for ways to help stimulate our economy. As for me, I work 11 hours a day, 7 days a week in Nigeria building a gas to liquid plant for Chevron 8-12 weeks at a time, then go home for 3 weeks so I don't have much time for earning extra money. But I would like to get into the parts business for these trucks just to help salvage as many parts as possible. We will be starting to lighten the load when I am home next by selling, giving away or discarding things we don't use anymore. A form of recycling I guess it is. As for the male escort thing, it sounds like it would get boring after a while since all of your customers would want the same thing. :P  Sorry for the longwindedness, but this is a good thread.

I make babies and live off the government! j/k I buy and sell cars off Craigslist. I always have 3k in hand and look around for something that's 2k or more below blue-book and resell it as is or make minor adjustments. Believe it or not I make most of my side money during tax season. I made over 12k in 3 months from Feb- may. 8)

I thought about doing that! your state doesn't have restrictions on how many cars you can sell a yr before having to have a dealer license?

It does! it is 6 per year. I am at 6 now. lol What i do is i don't sign the title. there are some folks that know the game or want you to sign it right there. So in some cases i will have my wife do it. Which lately she has been because, i am maxed out. I was thinking about a dealers license but, its better in some ways the way i do it. i don't want to get bonded or insured. costs to much for me.
