Who's older? You or your truck?

Post by FLATBEDFORD »

My 36 year old truck doesn't seem that old to me. Maybe because I'm 36 too. Funny thing is that my 1970 is older than my neighbor's '49 F2 was back when I was 9, yet it doesn't seem any where near as old as that '49 did 27 years ago. I guess its all relative to how old you are and what you remember.

My truck, according to the VIN, is 5 months older than me.

If you have more than one truck, use the oldest one.

**Update required. New guys here**
My truck was born Friday February 13, 1970, I was born Wednesday July 29, 1970.

My bumpside is a '72, I'm a '67 vintage, so that makes me older. *sigh*

FlatbedFord,....by brother and I always think of goofy, relative stuff like you're talking about...When I told him my son was driving a '69 Ford to school,he'd say "gee, that would be like me driving a 1936 pickup to highschool",which would have seemed ancient at the time...I want to get my '54 on the road by next fall,so when my son takes it to school,I could imagine what it would have been like for me to drive a 1921 Ford(did they even make pickups back then?)to highschool...BTW,I'm 16 years older than my '72...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

My truck is a '72 and I was born in May 1989 (Truck was May as well) which means I am only 17. So that means that the truck is twice as old as I am.
