You bet its nice!
Ive seen that truck. Almost got a woody just standing next to the engine.
Im not exactly sure how he's gonna hold it on the road with a 750HP 460 but he's sure gonna look good doing it.
The pix dont show the detail he put into it though. Like the vent window frames, thier powder coated. And the headliner + trim is covered with leather.
Or the powder coated rear end housing, frame and core support.
I was genuinly impressed.

re: Yellow 72
well I have thought of a cowl but the only ones that I can find are based on the C&evy hood, and sorry but not me. so now I am looking at shakers and scoops. I don't know....anybody seen a 67-72 with a good looking scoop or shaker??

Lookin' good Wideguage!!!No wonder Shark's moving along so well on his truck----He's got a motor head like you helping him out....I've alway's loved those old style tear-drop hood scoops, like they had on the Thunderbolts or the Malco Gasser...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I have seen a 73-79 F-series tow truck with the Boss 429/ Comet GT style scoop on it and I always thought I would use one of those. The 67 GT 500 style scoop would look good as well. While I don't expect to need the clearance of a scoop, I am looking at using the hood pieces from a 67 Fairlane GT.

re: Yellow 72
A true engine-mounted shaker scoop won't work on our trucks for a number of reasons. One is the fact that the engine sits pretty far down under the hood, another is that the engine is offset to the right side by several inches, so even if you could get one to mount to the engine and poke up through the hood it wouldn't be centered.
However, you can do what I'm doing....I have an original Ford shaker setup and am planning on using it on my truck. I removed the top scoop from the base, cut a hole in the outer hood skin (leaving the hood bracing underneath) and set the scoop down onto the bracing, so it's poking up through.
Take a look at the following page where I have some pictures:
