re: torque wrench
A Torque Wrench is a precise tool used for exacting applications.
I wouldn't settle for any "Harbor Freight Specials". A good quality 1/2" one from MAC, Matco or Snap-on will run you about $250.
I've owned and used them in the past.
I believe that CRAFTSMAN Torque wrenches offer a decent quality Tool at a fair price.
Presently I own a 3/8" inch pound and a 1/2 foot pound model.
Read the Instruction/Owners Manual thoroughly and always return the settings back to Zero after each and every use.
You'll be rewarded with a long life and useful tool for decades...

re: torque wrecch
I'd just get a Craftsman 1/2" drive for the big stuff (pounds) and a good quality one for the small stuff (inches). My inch pound wrench is the type that clicks (Central Tool). I got my Craftman 25 years ago and I note they are still selling the identical model.
