V-belt pullys

Post by wt4speed#2 »

I've been trying to throw the ole girl together as to get road worthy enough to drive (******** let me go and would even let me keep my company truck). I found the 3G alt. upgrade thread. I've got one from the serpentine set up for the 302 roller . Have looked at the info for the 3g conversion and short of the maxi fuse and resistor with the power cables from both set up i can make this work with virtually no out of pocket expense. Alas just like every stink thing I've done something comes up that sets me back
After taking little alt off and pulling both pulleys, putting v pulley on the 3G with out spacing behind it it rubs the case with spacing the nut wont even touch the shaft.Short of giving up I'd have to grind on both side of v pulley to even come close. Are there offset v- pulleys out there simular to the serp. pulley that came off, or should I just put the little alt back.

Ya know a month ago I had a full head of darker hair, i don't know if it from the head scratching or hair pulling but its getting awfully thin and gray.

Put the old one on until you solve the pulley problem.
