About to paint and sell truck....help me pick

Personally, I'd go with a nice solid red or red/white combo w /new narrow trim package (on either one) and the red and black combo interior.
I think that would turn alot of heads, and that's what ya wanna do since good gas milage isn't a selling point with these trucks...
The "wow" factor is always the best hold card on a deal like this...

Interesting. That is two votes for at least some red. Would a dark red seat, work in a red-red truck?

I say red as well and if the dark red seat don't work throw the black one in if it's decent. And if you go single color I would for go the chrome . I think the chrome works way better on tu-tone trucks . Just my

So you are saying just a red truck w/ black interior. I don't know about that. I agree that the chrome looks best on two-tone trucks, but I don't know about an all red truck. I guess it would work w/ the hot 460/C6 under the hood. I thought the thread would get more hits. Oh well.

IMO I would paint it all the same color red if you are indeed goning to paint the interior . Mine was painted black(inthe process of changing that now) its dark hot and show dirt like a bitch. If you painted it the same color red the black seat and a black dash cap would be set off by the door seals IMO, with the doors open . tu-tones are cool . But when painted a single color the interior and the firewall (under the hood should be the same.

Ok guys. Change of plan. If you do a search on my name you can see that I recently brought home a Crew cab. So now I have my 68 short bed in teh garage (doesn't run, doesn't do much of anything....it got the perfect cab that I pulled off the 72 camper special that I parted out). Out side of the garage I have my CC and my 71 short bed. I drive my 71 every day that I don't drive my 68 cougar. My 71 short bed is the one I was going to paint and sell. Now today I went out and starting figuring out what body parts I needed to take off to paint and which I was going to leave on. At that point I realized that I have no room in my garage to paint anything never mind a truck. So I'm just going to leave teh 71 short bed as is and start work on the 68 that is in the garage.

I will start a new project update thread for the 68 short bed, but it already has a nice interior and only needs paint and a drivetrain. I think even the rubber is in nice shape. I have a good running 360 and a FE C6 that needs a rebuild so that will be going in for the drivetrain. It is time to start moving!

Coming from a guy with a redish orange metallic bump, i really like one tone, red or black, no trim, no emblems, everything nice and clean. The only thing im mad about is i didn't shave the f-100 logo's off the hood on my pickup. But the front trim on the hood looks really good though. My interior is black, but red would be sick too. But i just think red with red interior is kinda clashy, there is a real need to off set the exterior color. Just my conclusion from trying to decide the same issues myself
