C6 vs Cruiseomatic

Does anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of the Cruisomatic verses the C6. My 67 is running a Cruisomatic and I was also wondering when the C6's came in.

the cruisomatic has an iron case and removable belhousing like the FMX (is a cruisomatic an FMX) so in theory you can use the same transmission and swap the belhousing like a you can with a C4.

I THINK the C6 has a slightly better 1st gear ratio for a truck.
I know the cruisomatic is a 3spd unlike the fordomatic 2spd.

Thanks for the info. Obviously being in the "dry part of the state" you must be on my side of the Cascades.
