3-spd Shift Rods - I Need the Right Ones

Post by Finleyphoto »

I have a 1967 F100 that I want to covert back to the 3-on-the-tree.

I need the shift rods if anybody has them.

Were they all the same or did they vary from year-to-year or engine-to-engine application?

Thanks - Dennis

I think I have a set for a 62 somewhere in my stash of stuff. If it can be verified to fit, you can have them, if I can find them.

Is there anyone on this forum that knows if there is a difference in the shift rods?

Do they vary from engine to engine or year to year?

Thanks - Dennis

Just being a Ford would make one think that there is several variations. At least as many as there were 3 speed trannys and I think that is around 3. It is always best to find the whole donor truck when doing a changeout like this.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

if it came from a truck it should fit i would think . i wouldnt think the engine would have much to do with it but it might have different twists to make i clear some stuff.
