Starting tearing down
I came home from college a couple weeks ago, and when I got home my dad said look out side tommorow morning, I got a present for you. Well dad's present was a portable garage for the truck so a big thanks to dad on that one. anyway last weekend we tore the front clip off to repair some rust on the fenders, and were gonna try and repair the radiator support as well as possibly do the engine and transmission.

re: Starting tearing down
I'm located near Pittsburgh. Here are some more pics from 2 weekends ago. The cab is basically stripped, the engine has the heads off, the drive train is basically ready to be removed for a rebuild. hopefully over thanksgiving the engine and trans will be removed, then brought up here to school for me to rebuild

Repost a pic showing the portable garage if you get a chance. The first pics you posted aren't available anymore.

re: Starting tearing down
i dont have any pics of the whole garage but heres one of the truck sitting in it. nice idea on the pvc garage, how much are you going to have invested in it when completed if you dont mind me asking? I have also found if your creative with some rope or bungy chords you can install temporary lighting, paper towel holders, garbage bags etc, in the garage

re: Starting tearing down
Looks like the teardown is going well. Do you have plans for any mods?

Right now, I'm thinking Power brakes and maybe power steering, as well as some upgrades to the engine that will be determinedAlleyCat wrote:Looks like the teardown is going well. Do you have plans for any mods?
