F100 SuperNationals

Post by Joshpow »

Hey,
I found out that the Knoxville F100 SuperNationals show in Knoxville TN is going to be May 15-17 2008 at Chilhowie Park. I was wondering if any of you in the general area planned to attend. I was going to go and wondered if I should keep an eye out for anyone from this site. I would like to meet the helpful people on the other end of the keyboard in person. Also I plan to drive my 72 down to the show if nothing happens. Reply if you plan on making it to the show.
Josh

I'm planning on being there. Unfortunately, I won't be bringing my truck, my wife refuses to ride in it, It ain't pretty enough and comfortable enough for her :D She won't even be coming to the show with me either  so I can spend quality time there. I plan on placing an order with DC and saving the shipping costs by picking it up there, like, a brand new dash pad! How 'bout tryin' to pick a spot to park together and maybe puttin' up a "Fordification.com" banner so we can find each other?

I would like for some of us to gather up and meet. Hopefully we can plan a place to meet. Think about a plan to get everyone coming together. I plan to drive my 72. Drive yours. Your wife will be ok, just bring it and let us see. It's a f100, so it belongs there. Hope to hear from you again, maybe even with ideas on a Fordification meeting.

I plan on being there. I am still on the fence about driving my truck that far, but the wifes Expedition does not get a whole lot better gas mileage..

JUST To let everyone know and some might already know that this is the Last Year Pat Ford will be running it, since he sold it out to a promoter who I think will do all types of Fords for the 2009 year and might move it to a convention center

'bought got my wife talked out of going so I may be able to bring my truck. It was going to cost me a weekend in Gatlinburg to get to go but when I told her I'd be at the truck show all day and could she keep herself entertained, all alone, at the hotel (cause I'd have the car), she started hemmin' and hawwin' and said "can't you just drive up to Knoxville and then come home. I don't know honey, it's a 6 hour round trip and you know I have a back problem, and I won't have a/c, and it'll cost a lot in gas (not as much as the hotel room!) but .... I think I should be able to manage. But it just wouldn't be same without you. Are you sure you'd be OK at home?

:yt: Dream show for me, too! I LOVE early 60s Galaxies. 625 miles is pretty far for me though. I'm trying to justify it to myself, but 24 hours of driving and $250 in fuel (round trip) makes that awfully hard. :(

I hope to see a great turnout there. We need to get and idea to recognize other Fordification members. If nothing else, lets set a time and place inside the park to meet. Anyone have an idea where we could gather that is easily found? If so, let us know. Drum up all the interest you can for the show.
