How do the shift arms connect to the rods that run to the transmission?

Thanks Fordman, but how do the rods stay connected to the shift arms at the end of the steering colum? With pins? I know they go through a brass and rubber bushing but how do they keep from coming back out? Thanks again.

They have a retaining ring on top of the shift arms and the same style ring where it attaches to the tranny.

No, not the rods. I just need whatever it is that keep the rods from falling out of the shift arms. I think I'm just going to use snap rings.

Autozone or any of the parts stores should have an assortment of them. :2cents:
