It should. I don't know about the trans mount, or drivrshaft yoke though. Driveshaft length may also be different. Remember, the shifter will be on the side of the trans hump in the cab, not the center. :)

No, that trans is a 64 and won't bolt to a 65 or newer bellhousing. The bearing support is a different size and the bolt pattern is different. Also note that it is a Borg Warner T10 and they are not famous for durability. Hawkrod

Price really was not too bad. I would never sell one for less. They are what they are and these days you will be lucky to find a good t10 for less and a top loader you should expect to pay $5-600 for a light duty one and $1000 and up for a big in big out. Hawkrod

Your comparing apples and oranges. I can get a C6, a T18 or an NP 435 for $37.50 when they are on sale at the wreckers otherwise they are $75.00 but none of those are a 4 speed car trans and I have seen very few car 4 speeds (except for Orion and side rail trans which are both pretty much worthless too). You would be very lucky to find a car 4 speed for much less than the $400 for that one anywhere. Hawkrod

The NP435 is also a 4 speed granny trans like the Warner T18. Why is the granny killing you? You do know you are not supposed to start out in Low don't you? It is only for use when you are moving a load. Hawkrod

Of course, but going to the work on the highway at 65 is killing my gas mileage and my ability to hear anything while driving.

Do you realize that a car 4 speed will not change that in any way? Final drive in a truck or a car trans is 1 to 1. Unless you swap in an overdrive you will not change anything in the area of RPM while cruising. You need to find an overdrive and depending on what engine you have, that can be a major proposition. If you have a 300 or 302 you can use a T5 but that can be quite a project for somebody who has never modified a trans. With a 300 or 302 you can also consider the Mazda trans but I have no experience with that one. If you have a 351M or 460 you can use a ZF but they are expensive (more than the T10 you were crying about! LOL). Hawkrod

gas mileage can be changed also witha change in the rear end gears. the smaller the number the better the gas mileage. the larger the number like 4 10 and 4 11 the better the truckis for working pull ing and good hard stuff like that. highway gears are smaller like 3.25 and below that . probably below that. finding different lower gears that will fit is something else.
