The beginning of my 5 year plan.

Post by 71PA_Highboy »

So,

I have been collecting parts, time to get my butt in gear and actually install something.

Since my truck probably won't pass inspection this year as I have front axle issues - a previous owner WELDED the steering arm to the knuckle...

I have my D60's sitting around, and the NP205 I hope to use, so I need to get them in... Tomorrow I take them to the sand blaster and start the tear down.

Sooo... though this part needs to be done mid August, I am hoping to have the whole thing done in 5 years.... We'll see how well I fare.

Here's looking at you, kid.

Eric

Parts I have collected…

Ford Factory solid lifter Lemans Racing cam for 289s… Fall of 1971, New (stll in tube with lifters in unopened boxes) I paid $75 (High at the time for a cam and lifters)

Two 15x8.5 Ansen deep dish aluminum wheels ----- Spring of 1972, (Never had a tire on em.) I paid $35 each.

Sun Tach ----- Sometime in 1973 or 74, (Temp install in a Pinto wagon in mid 80s to make sure it still worked) I paid $25. (I think) :hmm:

Ford top loader close ratio 4 speed out of 64 BB Galaxy ----- Sometime in 1977 or 78, (Wrecking yard part, never in anything I own.) I paid $250. (The wife keeps threatening to sell it for scrap metal!) :argue:

I guess it is time to get my butt in gear too.
