New Seat!

Post by TheCyclone »

I found a seat in great condition at the salvage yard! Its from an '86 Ranger, I was a little hesitant because it seemed a little large and I read the brackets would work but I wasn't so sure. But what do ya know...it is great! I just took the old seat out and took the brackets off of it, over sized the bolt holes and put those brackets on the '86 seat. It all went together beautifully. The seat does sit up a little higher, so now I'm thinking a tilt will be useful. Wasn't planning on it before. I think I've attached a photo.

It was a full-size Ranger...I didn't know until recently that a full-size Ranger ever existed.

Yea, my 68 is a ranger. When I get my insurance renewals it has 1968 ranger and 1993 ranger. It seems kind of weird.

Well until '83 or '84 Ranger was just a trim package. Although I'm sure some states registered and titled them according to the Trim, and still some like California Titled/titles them as the group of similair vehicles from the same manufacturer. I.E. A '77 nova would have Nova/Concourse/pheonix/appollo/ and so on on the same title. Here in Mo they title it as year and make. i have yet to see an F Series registered as F- seris it just get Ford.

And the merc gets merc. oh and since its a two door they have a nice word for it TUDOR. yes thats right a coupe or two door sedan are called TUDOR.

But yes 82 or 83 was the last Full size Truck trimmed with a Ranger Package.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
