Re: transmission leak
Most likely that is a deformed hole at that screw on the pan. Usually caused from overtightening. What you can do is drop the pan and return the screw holes in it to a more flat configuration by use of a hammer......hammers....or hammer and wood block. Then install a new gasket and see what happens. A cork gasket is the worst gasket for this scenario to happen. But it can be overcome by using the correct torque and tightening pattern on the pan bolts.

Re: transmission leak
Could be just that the pan flange is not flat
I cut it twice and its still too short!!

Re: transmission leak
One of the reasons I just swaped my e4od to a T-18 is cause it would leak all the time, mine would leak from the cooling lines, but it also leaked from the pan gasket, and nothing you could do would help it,I guess it was worn out when I got the truck.
