first off let me thank everybody this is the best group of ppl around,,,,,,, i checked my vin mumbers on the frame and it says my truck was manufactured in canada in feb of 68 would they of let it sit around for the 69 model year or do u think it was just a older frame they used, the tittle is a 69

Back then it was actually fairly common to title a vehicle in the year it was sold rather than it's year of manufacture. So that, as an example, if a truck built by the factory in late '68 wasn't actually sold until early '69, it would have been registered as a '69.

However, your case is a little different. You say according to your VIN your truck was manufactured in early '68 but is titled as a '69. I suppose it's possible that the factory used some leftover '68 frames for the '69 model year, but I think it's more likely that somewhere along the line somebody simply made an error when they registered their truck....or that he re-registered the truck using the VIN plate from a later-model truck. Does the VIN number on the door tag match the one on the frame?
