#28 Mystery Part Kinda
I hope this is the 28th one correct me if I am wrong, Ok not sure what these are but wondering what they are and if anyone else does.

i think those were framing pins or shipping pins for the frame. i think it was shipping pins.

I was told that they were on there so they could stack the frames at the factory.

Just a guess though, but yeah, I've almost evacuated blood from head with them before, too. Fortunately for me it was just a couple of dents.

nor sure what engine you have but on a 300 you can't hear someone talk in the cab.

i have the same exhaust set up with no pipe out the back of my cherry bombs on my 70 with a 390 and it is extremly loud

That set up is pretty much like running straight open headers under throttle but just enough back-pressure to keep from burnin valves or allowing cold air to rush back up the pipes. Pretty loud but still fun.
They do get a lil bit quieter once your foot is outa the gas pedal.
The problem is no downpipe or anything behind them to evacuate the exhaust from under the truck. Plus exhaust is corrosive and when allowed to just blow around under a bed it tends to accelerate the rust out process.
Its also unsafe because while your sitting at a stop light or idling at a stand still the cab is being soaked in exhaust fumes which means your breathing it.
At the very least a set of turn downs or pipes just sticking out to the side is better than nothing.
Oh and yea, me thinks those are shipping pins too.
