I'm lost--need directions
Got a 68 F100SB(6 cyl/3sp man)--Everything I need for the SB is in a 69 F100LB(390/c6) cab and forward. Do I switchout cabs(if 69 is good enough shape)? Numbers would work for everything except for the difference in SB and LB?

Got the 68 home today. Decided to put my extra 302 in it. Any suggestions on how hard I should I build the eng(cam, intake carb, head work).

your questions need more info to give an opinion really. such as how badly is each cab rusted? and as for how to build the engine what are you going to use the truck for?

Re: I'm lost--need directions
Wow, forgot I had this going. Update:
I bought a cab from junkyard and it and everything else off the original except the bed has had a thorough going over and primed and ready for paint.
Bought a 78(351M) and got the front suspension, PS, brakes, and those pesky engine perches.
The brake booster was bad.
Got a steering column for an automatic transmission.
What's my best bet(year) for a booster and pedal assembly?

No....'68-'72. The '73-up brake pedal assemblies are completely different.

Re: I'm lost--need directions
And on the boosters bolting right up from 68-77 it is only true if you have the matching brackets as the 73 and up slowly have a backwards pitch to them where the booster mounts to the brackets. I went through finding the correct booster becuase of this last year. i have the 73 up brackets from a '76 so the 68-72 booster points horrably towards the ground and the bolt spacing from left to right is off by 1/4".

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
