power seller? wtf

Post by fordman »

i havent listed anything on ebay in a few weeks. its not clean or its not repaired or i have been thinking about what i want to get rid of that is laying around here or i have been to busy to do any live listing. anyway. i sign in to ebay tonight and they now tellme i am a power seller. i think they are getting desperate as well as everyone else. because i dont have a store. i dont sell over a 1000 itmes a month. and all of those requiremnets. i dont know. its not really a big deal to me. i probably wotn ever see anythign exttra out of the little icon but i might. they say i get healthcare benfits now. i havent looked into it but i bet that is a ploy to sell insurance to me. at thier rate. i dont know anyway. thats all .

How many total items have you sold? My mom is a power seller (nick-nacks & assorted junk). She makes a killing on that crap.

Last time I checked you had to sell a crapload of stuff to be a PS.

here is the link to rwequest a quote on the insurance. http://powerseller.healthinsureanswers.com/med.htm

very funny it is a sales pitch of course. as well i checked out some of the other suposed discounts like ups shipping. you have to do alot of ups shipping to get a real discount. yea yea yea. its not much of a deal we will see what it gives me. i think it is because i made a large sale all in one month with very few items is why they upgraded me. maybe. i dont know. hey i didnt do the bidding. so it isnt my fault.

Why apologize? I read there is about 400,000 people who make their living selling on eBay - and take advantage of the bennies they offer.

Yes sir. A GOOD living. My mom could make more money on ebay than at her gov. job if she did it full time. You wouldnt believe the stuff she sells, & the prices it goes for. Most of her stuff she finds at Goodwill, Salvation Army or garage sales & it sells like gold.

A good example is summit racing. They're all over ebay & I bet its helped their sales figures 10 fold

i checked out more of it. i got the lowest power seller status there is. i sold X number of dollars in a years tiem to get to this status. and i dont have to have a store to get this status. so they have lowered the standards to promote more sellers to sell more stuff so they can make more commissions. i dont know if i can find that much stuff to sell to keep this status. i am goign to try listign soem stuff tomorrow and find out if anyone really wants it.
