Re: '69 Ranger CS - $600 truck about to get a makeover.
My friend who is the body guy just picked it up and will be removing all of the trim and the windshield and back window this next week. He is doing this after his regular job so i am expecting this to be a 1 month process. My plan is 2 stage original colors. If you check out my post in the paint/body section, i am asking for help to find the original color since the VIN plate didn't have it listed. Help if you can, thanks. Al

The colors i am trying to go with are the original with one being some type of green. I want to keep the original colors because the interior is in really good shape so the new green should be pretty close to the interior. Because there where two original green colors that where similar, im not sure which one is mine (im thinking Holly Green).

It almost looks like the Lunar Green.

Thats a solid looking truck for $600 bucks.
It was a special order truck according to the DSO# & I spy a DANA 60 rear with 3:73's

Going by the color chart, I would guess you have Lunar Green. And I'm guessing the top is Wimbledon white.
My 69 F250 CS is two tone. The top of the cab and the body below the beltline are Wimbledon white, while the original color of the body above the beltline was Boxwood green. Yours in not Boxwood green.

Here is the truck after, after removing most of the trim. The interior, already in decent shape, will be better after i was lucky enough to find an already reupholstered split bench from a '70's truck at the local Pick n Pull and can you believe it is Green vinyl and cloth. The carpet is gonna have to wait, since i am already stretching my budget.
I am debating whether or not to reinstall the metal trim FORD piece on the tailgate. What do you think? Al

Thanks Al. That means alot to me. I know it would mean even more to my grandpaw.

I bet you could scrub the green paint off the tailgate panel & clean it up. It might look pretty good under all the green-ness.
Never the less, thats a hell of a truck for $600 bucks.

After trying to match my interior paint, i finally decided on Silver Jade Mettalic, which turned out to be a perfect match.I still need to install the trim. I added an old camper for the retro look.
