Wrecking yard finds, take a look

Post by 71_nut »

Hey all,

I don't post often, but I thought I'd share some finds.

First I'm pretty sure I found a "Free Wheelin" bumper bar, it's DEFIANTLY not home made, can anyone confirm? Here are the pics.

and the second prize, an axillary gas tank out of a 1994 F-350 cab and chassis, it's about 19gal, and narrow enough to fit between the rails. It's about 2" too deep to just drop in, but the bump it's going into will have a boxed frame and custom cross members. The thing I like the most, is that is has the electronic pump and such to work with a 4.6 DOHC, which will me the next phase of my '71 bump. Again here are some pics.

Never seen a bull bar like that for our trucks. Unless it was custom made that is.

It looks to be dent free & I bet it will clean up nicely

I cant get gas tanks at the local pull-a-part. They put holes in them.

Sweet,I like factory add ons. They threw in the bar for the price of the tank, so it was free! It's just on the front of my Dad's 71 4X4 that he's in the middle of tearing down, I was just sizing it up. I'm super pumped about the tank. It fits so nice, and will make a 4.6 conversion with a Crown Vic front end that much easier.
