craigslist depression

Post by fordman »

have you ever got off of craigslist becuase it caused you depression. because of the ijigits pricing stuff more than it is new or those asking for free cars or just ijigits in general? is it just kansas city craigslist or is it everywhere? i cant go to craigslist for these reasons. i get depressed and upset. the website just turns me off. i cant stand it. (ijigits) spelled on purpose. i have to think that craigslist is worse than ebay. now some of you may find that hard to believe.

Nope, I agree. My craigslist is full of the same. I just ignore them. But I know what you mean. I don't get depressed, just irritated.

I'm still addicted to it. I search just about every day. I still swear at the idiotic posts and am in awe of the abysmal spelling and grammar. I currently have a set of wheels on my local CL. My ad lists the bolt pattern and what they came off of. I have had 4 calls so far. Each person asking if I knew if the wheels would fit their (insert late model Chevy product _______). Ebay has become fee central station, so I've switched most of my buying/selling to CL. I still use ebay, but only if I can't find it locally on CL.

I'm in the same mind as CApt. America. I use CL for everything. Lots of good deals, but my god is the spelling atrocious. Grammer and spelling are none exsistant. EBay, I'm afraid to say, has been de-throned in my view. I prefer CL cause I find loads of stuff locally, and for less than ebay. Though, Ebay is my next look depending on what it is I"m looking for.

FWIW, I posted parts for sale a long while back for previous vehicles on there. I even took the time to list what vehicles they may fit, which ones they do fit 100%, and I got allot of ijgits. There's allot on there.

My favourite is when the sellers don't post pictures, especially for older/classic cars.
Or when the description is one sentence.

Craigs drives me nuts. I am contantly finding things that I want or need, but due to the large geography here it will take a day or two to get the stuff. Everyone that lists says "I'll save it for you." I show up a couple days later after and hour or two drive, and it's gone. "Sorry dude, a guy picked it up yesterday, I should have called you." Thanks for nothing. :x

THe other thing I just love is a post without pictures. Email the guy and ask for pictures. He will take some and get back to you. I'm still waiting a month later. No sense driving out to find out that what he has it total junk. I guess if it was any good he would have posted pictures in the first place.

Haha, thanks. I'm partially dyslexic, and I tend to either miss letrs all together, add ones that dont belong there, or rearrange the letters. I try to catch them, but I don't always see the mistakes.

I usually check CL one time a week even if I am not really needing something. But yea the prices are pretty dumb at times.
