I grow watermellons and cantalopes and go out and sell them out of the back of the truck. Ill go to richmond and find a spot on a corner in the poor part of town and set out the big ones on the tailgate. I make sure everything is ripe and the word spreads in a day or two of where im at and can sell a truck load in 4 hours and be home by 3.

People at work know that im the car guy so they usually come to me whenever they need some work done to their cars.
I setup the deal and my brother does the work then we get paid and I get part of the cash.
We've done radiators, alternators, struts, brakes, gaskets, oil change, tuneups, timing belts and we will do what ever else we can get our hands on.

I buy/find and sell old car parts, literature, hubcaps, and license plates. Just found a complete, straight hood for a '56/7 Chevy truck in the woods the other day, I'm try to sell it right now. Anyone need one or know of someone that might?

When I have time I tend to hunt for parts in the boneyard, mostly axles.
I plan to start rebuilding carbs and selling them but haven't gotten around to it.

I keep carpet scraps of fair size from my jobs and square them up and bind the edges and sell them as throw rugs or door mats at a neighborhood flea market.

I rob liquor stores for extra cash
Just kidding
I used to do side jobs; brakes, cooling system repairs, engines, auto trans, etc. Now I just work a Saturday at my regular job, I'm almost always done by 11am or noon.

Re: What do you guys do for extra income?
I work on computers in my spare time.
I've been doing it since '95, and I do complete builds, upgrades and repairs (software or hardware).
Sometimes I make some pretty good cash, but in the last few years, it's all been on repairs.
Heck, you can buy a complete Dell system for less than I pay for components wholesale!!!

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
