Moving a truck bed...
Hey guys,
I am buying a 67 long bed for my truck but am not sure how to transport it to my shop. I don't own a trailer or another pick-up, so I am wondering how others have done it.
I have access to a full size pick-up, but how do I put it in there and not damage one of the sides? Rent a Box truck? Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Doug

Doug,
If you have another full size truck. Flip the bed over and lay it rail to rail on the other truck and clamp it down then throw a strap or two over it.

Sometimes the mind, for reasons we don't necessarily understand, just decides to go to the store for a quart of milk.

I knew a guy that brought a complete body to Mi from somewhere out west .
he put the cab in the box of his truck ,stuffed the front sheetmetal where ever it fit.
then made long poles out of wood and stacked the new box over it all.
he cross braced the poles and strapped it down, and drove home (carefully)

I bought a bed for my short bed that was about 100 miles away, I had it transported to my house on a flat bed.

Great ideas! Thanks!
My friend has an f-250 that is going to help me.
It's not rust as much as it is BAD dents in HARD old metal
