Bed Cover for 69 Step Side

Post by Prime69 »

Looking at getting a bed cover for my 69 stepside. There is not a lot of options out there for one. I see at LMC there is a soft bed cover that has velcro to attach it to the bed rather than snaps. has anyone heard anything or has bought one of these and how does it preform?? Any thoughts on snaps vs velcro?? Not crazy bout drilling holes.

Depends if you want it to be rigid looking or have sags. All vinyl covers have sags eventually. A solid cover never does, and is hinged and can be locked. Obviously I am biased I have a sold cover from Checkmate. For awhile it was rumored they went out of business, but the Checkmate cover is still available, no longer in KY-now owned by a co. in TX, and they have solid tonneau covers for older trucks. More money than options you list but definetely a better cover. You can go to website. http://www.checkerpro.com - for older trucks it is the CheckMate FX model.
