Time to fix A/C

Post by Mancar1 »

Now that I got new tires, next month I aim to fix my A/C. Everything is there on the 68, 390. The original owner took the belt off when the truck was a couple yrs old. He lived in a cool Oregon climate. Nothing on the A/C is working, I put the belt back on, it was behind the seat. The blower in the underdash unit doesn't work. I think I will check and see if he disconected it and used the hot for something else at one time. I figure the comp seals are probably shot, rebuild it or buy a rebuilt one? Will let you all know what all I have to do to get it up and going. It will be on 134 not the old stuff. A buddy has some but I will switch it over. Need that air, it gets darn hot here. :hmm:
Helpful pointers/input is welcome
