Did the nationwide series change the body styles, I havent watched a nationwide race all year and watched the race last night and seen mustangs and chargers bodys on the cars, dont know what body chevy was running, wasnt a camaro. But i liked looking at the race because the cars were sport cars not a family cars, look more like raceing to me.

Nationwide is running a partial schedule with the new cars this season. Last night's race was the 3rd night on the new car. Next year will be a full season with the new car from what I understand.

Go Biff. Hoping the #16 can add 10 more bonus points for the chase. By the time I get home from work, an hour and a half of the race will be over but then, :drive: :lolprev: :cuss: and hopefully :woohoo:

I put my money on biff, he became my driver when he was in the trucks and would hang it out around the turns and wouldnt lose controll of the truck. should be a good race tonight its 74* now and cloudy over richmond. Im going to my dads house now to watch the plains fly over his house on the way to the track, theyll do 3-4 circles to get there timeing right for the fly over at the track. He live about 30 miles from the track out in the country, Ill take my camera with me and get some pics of them.

It'll be a great race. One of my drivers is on the pole. He hasn't won yet this season so maybe tonight is the night. :D

Go cousin Carl!

It looks like the fords were pretty stong in 2nd practice. I know practice doesn't mean squat, but it's nice to see that the Fords have been putting on a much better showing the last 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully the blue oval will be in victory lane tonight.

Went to my dads house yesterday to watch the race and see the flyover, there were 6 jets all together, 4 in a pack for the flyover at the track and 2 others that were flying solo for security im guessing because of what going on, They made 3 circles around to get the time right before going to richmond. Twice they flew over his yard and not very high up, 600ft or so. I didnt do a very good job with the camera to show how close they really were but the kids thought this was the greatest thing they had ever seen and one was a little scared because his hands were shaking and he could speak right LOL.

The jets come from langley AFB and were lucky that his house is in the country and we get to watch them for 30 minutes or more every year.

FA18's it looks like. Bought has to be since the F15 is about out of service.
Is this Winston Cup racing you are talking about? I have not watched or kept up with that at all and I should since I have a brother in law that is a crew chief. Well, he's my wife's, sister's husband. Is that a brother in law? lol
His name is Pat Tryson. I cannot remember who he is crewing for now. He changed so often and I got tired of the racing I gave up keeping up. If they are running Mustangs I might catch back up. I feel like a sell out living so close to race city NC and not keeping up with it. I got so tired of seeing that gordon duffuss winning race after race on some silly red flag fiasco it got to look like wrestling to me.

Pat was Mark's crew chief for several years, I always wanted the two to go to the top (think they made it second in point together twice)?

Awesome birds for sure, always gives me the chills to see a flyover.

How did our Roush guys do last night?

I didn't see it but I heard it. And felt it. The track is about 2 miles from my house. My smoker went but, I stayed home and worked on the bump. And drank beer. And watched the blimp circle the house. I think they liked my truck because they kept coming back around. At least that's the story I'm tellin.

I think the jets were 18's from Oceana. Impressive but, nothing compared to the F-105 flyovers the local air guard unit used to do for our little league homecoming games. A lot of our coaches were in the unit so we got special treatment!
