My favorite junk yard score to date

Post by amishbuggy »

I went to the junk yard today because I was going nuts laying around after getting my hernia's fixed last week and it's a beautiful day here in western NY, sunny and in the mid 70's. Well anyhows I scored a couple carbs, a spot light from a dent (it needs a couple of parts), a Jenson stereo (don't know if it works yet) and a real nice 30" ground cable.
One of the carbs is an Autolite with manual choke, I'd like to see if I can fix it up for my truck and the other is an old 1v Holley with a glass bowl. Both carbs have been exposed to the elements for years and are froze up pretty good. I think the Holley is really cool with that glass bowl, I'm going to polish it up and use it as a pencil holder on my desk and maybe I'll put some Sea Monkeys in the bowl, so that my friends makes it my favorite score to date.

That's a cool old carburetor, I wish more had the glass bowls like that for troubleshooting!
I too was in the yards yesterday and sadly had to pass up a F-600 instrument panel. :hw:
Just wasn't my priority at the time! :(
