Post by custom »

so i started off with a 1970 f-100 shortbox 2 wd. no motor or tranny but i got a 460 and c6 in the deal. well after a short time i procured a 1979 f-150 4x4 shortbox with a built 429, np435 4 speed, 205 t-case, 1/2 ton with a 4" lift. so here goes the body swap process...

starting to strip the 79. i decided to strip the frame and paint it. i also opted to undercoat the body of the 70 before i set it back on the frame.

last pic i have for now. currently stripping the interior. i have already welded holes in the floor. i am also stripping and finishing the front inner fenderwells and the core support. i'm using por-15 to spray everything. im waiting for my herculiner to get here so that i can line the inside of the truck and the underide and inside of the bed. still have to move the rear springs forward to match the wheelbase. game plan is truck on 35's
