Just found this in one of my car mags. Old issue. I actually only have one of the articles left, due to a water pipe-bursting incident at my uncle's. The article is about painting your own car (neat article), and one of the ads is for this EZ-EFI system. It actually looks pretty darn nifty. I'm assuming it would work for our trucks, although I didn't see anything disclaiming it wouldn't. The site says Ford 302, and that's what I have. They also have another system called XFI.
Personally, although it's out of my budget by far (at least in comparison to other things I need to fix/take care of), if I were to ever go EFI on my truck, this looks like the way to go. Rather than mod the engine or swap out for one, pop this thing o where the carburetor goes. What do you guys think??

Re: EZ-EFI
For EFI on a 302 it's pretty darned hard to beat just getting a beat up '89 and up Mustang and doing the EFI swap or even the whole 5.0 5 speed setup. Hardest part is the electric fuel pump and return lines to the tank and doing something for the cable clutch setup if you go 5 speed. I did my '68 Ranchero way back in '96 and it's dead nuts reliable. Wiring was simple enough, 10 or so wires to be hooked up for power and grounds.

Re: EZ-EFI
Actually, it's something I'm considering, maybe not that system above, as it's a bit pricey, but EFi in general. Hell, I'd love the 5 spd! But as I said, I ran across this again, and thought I'd share. I thought ti was pretty cool. Maybe if I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg....

Re: EZ-EFI
i prefer the tbi kits, mainly due to the pita the ford intake design--i am all carbed presently, but plan on getting or building a tbi type in the future
i converted my 89 5.8 from efi to carb and it was like getting a brand new engine--the late 80's and early 90's wiring harnesses are a problem area--so if u do convert either build your harness or buy aftermarket

Re: EZ-EFI
Thanks for the tip. I'll put that down on my list of stuff, right next to the EFI/TBI entry.
