Axle nuts
I Also put this in the alxe section but here we go again as I need to find a source for these so I can get back to using my truck. Anyway yesterday I was going to the church hotdog sale and stoped to pick my dad up who was having tires put on. I stoped he got in i put it in gear let the clutch out nothing. I tried second nothing. He looked and the clutch was moving, drive shaft too. So we parked the truck and got another ride. After the sale I got to looking at my truck thinking that I was now shopping for a rearend and the driver side rear wheels ( 68 f350 ) were out about 6-8 inches. The Big nuts that hold the axle , drums, wheels and all to the rear end had backed off. I am glad that I did not have the tractor on the truck or a posi cause I would have kept going till the wheel fell off not knowing. I am now looking for new axle nuts and new lock washers( that is what failed) I was able to get the nuts back on and the truck home. However I do use the truck for my tractor business and need to get it back together with new parts so I can go mow this week. The truck is a 68 f350 with dual rear wheels. Does anyone have the ford part numbers for these items? Thankes for all the help.
