simple rear brake change turned into a nightmare

Post by 69rangerf100 »

ok so i knew that i need to change out my rear brake pads on my DD my 98 accord. so i pull off the drive side caliper and the look at the pads outside pad looked worn but ok look at the inside pad and the pad was so jacked up looked at the rotor and the pad had severly messed up the inside of the rotor. so i called the local auto store to check to make sure they have the rotors in stock they sais that they had 2. so i went to the store that i thought i called after waiting in line i found out that i called the wrong store so i ended up having to goto another store that was about 6 miles away they had them and gave me 10% off since i went to pick them up :woohoo: love saving money where i can. so i get back home with the rotors and the bolts that were holding in the caliper bracket were in so tight i had to break out the jumbo sized breaker arm and finally got the off. so my 30 brake pad change turned into a 4 hour job. got everything back to gether on my car 8 minutes before i had to leave for school.

Always so much fun working on these new cars. I despise anything newer than a 79 lol
