I don't get it.
A while back I posted a pic of a Holley 1904 glass bowl carb that I got at my favorite yard. My plan was to keep it so I could start breeding sea monkeys in it, I thought the glass bowl would be perfect and I got caught up dreaming of the hours of fun to be had watching them grow and thinking of how to spend all the money that would surely be coming my way. But, like so many dreams it was shot down by the prohibitive costs that come with ownership and breeding rights of such a majestic creature.
To make a long story short I ended up putting the Holley on e-bay, explaining, in a nut shell, that it had been exposed to the elements for years and was froze up but the bowl was in perfect shape. I was hoping to get around $30 which would go a long way towards a investment operatunity that came my way the other day, I was lucky enough to be selected to buy into a company that produces dehydrated water ( I'm glad I checked my junk e-mail folder, I guess you never know). Anyhows, I just checked on the carb and it's over $100, I've been following other 1904s and $29 or $30 seemed to be the norm, Now I'm nervous that I may have misrepresented it somehow, I've checked but everything looks good to me.
Maybe someone here might take a look and calm my nerves.

Re: I don't get it.
You represented it fine to me. But under your conditions you state it works as inteneded, but I wonder, does it really work? Did you see it work on a running engine? If not, perhaps the buyer thinks it will be fully functional when in fact it may take a rebuild or some other amount of work to get it running. This is the only thing you might want to clear up with any buyers that I can think of.

Thanks, I'm new to ebay and it seems to be a PITA at times. When I listed it I don't remember seeing the thing you're refering to, I'll have to clear that up asap.
Thanks alot
Pat
I tried to edit it, but was told the item did'nt have enough time left. I guess I will have to be MORE vigilant next time.

Re: I don't get it.
its a learning process. I would sell it anyways. It is really buyer beware and if they didn't ask you any questions then I wouldn't worry about it. Also, I checked your bidder history and the highest bidder at the time had a ton of bids so apparently they really want the carb.

Thanks, I'll just make sure they are fully aware of the condition before I ship it.
Thanks again

Re: I don't get it.
The "condition" thing comes from marking the item as "used", and it's part of ebay's listing template.
I think the description represents it fully and just fine, as you've been very thorough in your wording.

Is this the investment opportunity you were talking about???amishbuggy wrote: I was hoping to get around $30 which would go a long way towards a investment operatunity that came my way the other day, I was lucky enough to be selected to buy into a company that produces dehydrated water ( I'm glad I checked my junk e-mail folder, I guess you never know).
