Where are the Specials?!
Awhile ago I was browsing through all the many wonderful things Fordification.com has to offer, and I happened upon a page that went into detail about truck models that I hadn't heard of previously... Obviously we all know of the F100's F250's, Rangers and Camper Special's etc, but somewhere there was a page that explained a Farmer Special and a Contractor Special edition of our trucks... and I can't seem to find that page again to save my life... help anyone?!

Re: Where are the Specials?!
thats the one i remember... do we have any more details on what the differences are on these models? cause there's a guy that just picked up an all original 69 from a farm town here in Utah that he was gonna tune and flip for money for his camaro, and its got a few things I haven't seen before like the orange reflectors in the painted grille that do have the old FoMoCo markings on them, but there's no badging on it other than F250 and he heard something about a Farm somethin or other special in the purchase and the big drums and axles weren't typical F250 said another guy... and he's selling it... so I'm kinda curious how to further investigate it! cause if its just another F250... well, then its just another F250
...

Re: Where are the Specials?!
The Farm & Ranch Special and the Contractor Special are just regular trucks with additional regularly-available options added as a pre-priced package plus each package had it's own cowl-mounted insignia.
Here are a couple snippets regarding the '69 models:

Re: Where are the Specials?!
hmmmm, well this truck is clean as can be... if it really is such a 'special' i'd hate to see the guy ruin the virgin truck of such a trim level by putting a 460/C6 in it... its got no badging other than the f250 hood emblems... but the previous owner also said they had it painted only a few years after it was bought from the dealer... eh who knows...
