fuel tank selector switch
I could use a little info. Is there a trick to taking this switch off?
I want to clean and lube it. Harness doesn't want to pull off back. I certainly don't want to damage it. Thanks for any help. Guess I could take the bracket nuts off and lower the whole thing down, and go from there.

Re: fuel tank selector switch
There is a tool for that, same as the one for the headlight switch. If you don't want to damage it, I'd get the tool. Other wise, once you remove the knob, you can technically remove the retainer with a pair of needle nose pliers, some cussing, and scratch the heck out of all sorts of stuff on your dash.Mancar1 wrote:I could use a little info. Took me a bit to find it, but if you don't want to damage anything, you will need this. I have been told you can also make one with a piece of pipe, a hacksaw and file...

or if you want to remove the whole bracket you can remove the instrument cluster to get to the bolts.

Thanks I am ordering the tool. No one has it local. Hope cleaning up that switch helps my gage readings.fordamericana wrote:The proper tool for the job...
