toothache

Post by RTG_RACING »

I have a toothache and can't get into the dentist untill Tuesday. Saltwater isn't working and neither are OTC pain meds. Anyone have any idea how to make it stop before I pill this tooth myself.

I think it is called numsit, might help. Only other thing would be to tie a sting to your tooth and the other end to your trucks back bumper. Just kidding  Serious on the numsit though. Ask your local drugstore about it. My wife just said to ask the drug store, there is one better but she can't remember what it is called. :hmm:

The wife says an OTC powder at Wally World called Dentafill. Not sure on the spelling. Some kind of paste you mix and put on the tooth. In the toothache medicine area.

Personally, I like the whiskey idea. Long time til Tuesday though. Just don't drink yourself sober before then.

My dentist said to use use Advil. It reduces swelling and has a pain reliever. Also, get some liquid Oragel tooth pain reliever and use a Q-tip to put a drop or two directly on the damaged tooth for instant relief.

Been there done that, and it royally sucks. 1st day before starting a new job, I was up 22 hours in pain before I had to be there. I was trying either hot or cold water to get it to stop hurting and Excedrin wasn't effective, I was going thru that like candy (not good) with minimal results. Once the Oragel hit the tooth the pain was gone. Got an hour of sleep.

Your dentist should be able to prescribe something for you until you are able to see him. :2cents:

That oragel works but will numb everywhere it touches. Your tongue will be numb as well and you will talk funny.

Not sure what it's really called but we call it Red Cross toothache medicine. Comes in a small brown glass bottle with little cotton balls and tweezers. It's a red liquid. Burns like the dickens but works great!
