Push bar

Post by Mancar1 »

Paid the neighbor $30.00 for this. Was going to try to make it work on my 68 CS. It is off a 92 Ranger 4X4. Not sure if I should mess with it. Think I can make it work?
Ok, I know I can make it work, but it might not look 8)

Do the side bars stay between the headlights or go all the way around them? Either of those and it might be ok. Wouldn't work if the bars cover the lights, though.
Also, how high up the front end does this go? It's a pushbar so smaller dimensions are ok, but it might look off on a full size truck.

It is 72" wide, and 20" high above mount holes. I would have to weld on a couple pieces of flat bar so I could drill holes to mount to my bumper. Don't want to drill extra holes in my bumper. I will probably end up unloading it to someone with one of the smaller Rangers. Your right it would look off on my 68 Ranger CS. Thanks.

You could do a frame mount bullbar like this:

or this

Or the factory style bumper guards:

Or maybe an old style full brush guard:

(couldn't find a Ford with one of these)

Thanks for the pics. Guess I will have to give this some thought. I like the factory bumper guards.

Guess I will put the push bar up for sale and get something made to fit my 68, instead of making somthing fit, that shouldn't.

Great pic. Yes I sure do like those bumper guards. I do think that may be the way to go on my 68. Probably will get them new, cause it is good luck finding them used.
Thanks

Push bar is gon. Guy out of Redding paid me what I gave for it. I really only bought it cause the neighbor needed some $$$. Guy that got it put it on his 93 f-150 raised 4X4. Looks real good.

Gotta say next to the older F-1's and The bumps, the late 80's -early 90's F150 4x4 short Wheelbase trucks look awesome.

Yup, the guys 93 looked real good. I enjoyed driving my 06 F-150, Sold it a few months back, but I like the older body styles more.
