wife unclogs the drain

Post by fordman »

wow she saved me from pulling the toilet and getting the sewer machine drug into the house. it was so bad that the toilet was clogging as well as the rest of the drains in the house. i figured roots had gotten into the drain again and glogged up the main. she poured hot water down the nearest drain to the end of the main. and melted the built up grease. that was all it was. grease built up in the line. the drain may still need soemthign done to it. but atleast its clear for now. for all the years i had those rentals and we had done that. i didnt even think about doing that.

Lucky, I had a tree root problem for years, now the city cut the tree down and now I have a sinking sidewalk problem...

I like the small town living. No sidewalks, no city. Lotta elbow room.

I live in a small town, out in farm country except my township figured the cluster of homes around me warranted a public sewer they had no money to put in so my sewer bill is a nice $215 every quarter and slated to increase again.

We have a sewer system in this small town of around 800 Pop. Sewer bill is $24. a month. I can live with that. Used to be on septic. Do not have the problems with the sewer system. Been on it for around 26 years here. Also a garbage disposal is great. Had to be real careful if you had one on septic. Course the riverfront property has septic. But it just sits there. Was gonna move onto it, but who needs another morgage. Just about own this old place. Built the year I was born by friends of my parents. Back in 49.

I've got a type of video snake I use for looking at evap coils while in cases and transitions,
looking up into heat exchangers, etc.. It's got a thin flexible tube with a tiny video camera
and a white LED light at the end. It's about 3/8 or so of an inch dia. At the other end is a handheld
unit with a screen. It's color too.. But like say using for checking a coil, if I have hard transition,
instead of having to cut out an access hole or flap, I can just drill a small hole and check it out.
Then when I'm through, I just seal the hole with sealer tape.
