FYI-Smart phones

Post by amishbuggy »

Just to let you know. I have been using Straight Talk for about a year now but have itching to get a "Smart phone", well Straight Talk just recently added 2 Nokia smarties so I opted for the E71 model. I'm paying the same $45+tax for this as I was my dumb phone and I gotta tell you I think it's freakin AWESOME! Granted you have to shell out $245 (you can't buy it without the service card) but it really has meet all of my expectations and more, the turn by turn nav with voice (I choose the british chick) is pretty much dead on and being able to send and receive e-mail while I'm mowing the lawn (leafs this time of year) is pretty cool. Anyhow, I thought that I'd let you guys know in case someone is on the edge about making the jump. I know in my part of the country (westrn NY) Straight Talk has been the most reliable as far as coverage goes, it beats Verizon hands down, just be prepared that if you call Straight Talk you are going to be speaking to Pakastan or India and that part is frustrating as HE!!, it's best to do everything over the internet.

Have a good weekend.

My wife and GRANDdaughter use Straight Talk and they really like it. I have Alltel and it is enough for me no more than I use one. Mostly at work. So I don't need the internet and such. Besides, I have problems reading text messages on my phone. I need a bigger screen or younger eyes.

I've had straight talk. Nice plan. Really good service. Bust, since I'm not paying for my phone at the moment, I get Virgin Mobile. It's pretty good. I only pay $25, but I'm capped on minutes (300/mo), but I do get unlimited everything else..

I was looking at Virgin also but it seems everytime I put a cap on my talk minutes I run over, and of course when I have unlimited I talk for about 10 minutes. I'm only hungry when there's no food in the fridge.
