Need help with corvair

Post by amishbuggy »

Can anyone help me out with how to remove this ignition? It's from a '65 Corvair Monza Spyder. I've tried inserting a rod in the hole but I'm not feeling any sort of release.

Thanks
Pat

I used to have a 64 Turbo charged one back in the 60's. Ran away from a lot of V-8s on the open road.

i think gm is like other switches. you have to turn it to acc to get the key cylinder to come out. when you push the pick in there.

I can't get the switch to the lock position (no key), I've tried the others but am having no luck with removing it. I guess I'll have to take it to a lock smith so I don't bung anything up.
