Cool vanity plates?

Post by 19agin »

Anybody got any great idea's? What I wanterd was taken, so I'm looking for some other ideas to go on my '71 Sport Custom. Missouri says you can only have 6 letters/numbers, so I'm trying to be creative!

I'd consider a vanity plate for the truck if I were to move out of state but not here, I've got the original issue yellow on black plate and am keeping it!

My lifted 1989 Jeep Cherokee (Jeep body code XJ) has "XJ JEEPN" on the tags.

1966 Rustang (289 / C4 Project stalled for ages)
1989 Jeep Cherokee (4.0 / Auto / D30 / D44 / 35's)

Your user name would be a good one. 19AGIN. MYBUMP is a good one. Can you guys run vintage plates in MO? It might be hard to find one in good shape. Antique stores usally have a bunch of old plates. Also Ebay is a good place to find them.

Nothing beats an original 1971 farm truck tag

What was it you wanted that was taken? Maybe we could work off of it.

yes, in mo you can run a vintage tag from the year of manifacture, if it hasn't been reissued as a motorcycle Tag, IIRC you find a tag or set of tags depending on the regs in place for when your vehicle was manifactured and reged, get your normal reg and then send the fee i think it was 25.00 a few years ago with a request form and a picture of the tags you want. They check it to make sure it isn't in use and let you know.

I went with "MY 72" on my '72 Custom. When I worked as a lineman I wrote "MINE" on all my tools to denote they were mine. I wanted that but it was taken here in TX.
